While finishing this degree he began his choreography career when he was given the opportunity to create 4 shows (A Soldier’s Tale, Together We Celebrate, Fun Home, and now Cinderella) here at the Fulton. These opportunities guided him to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership with an Arts Administration Focus, 2021. Beyond his on stage work, he was given the opportunity to work as a director, when he staged his first show while attending University of Michigan entitled Freshmen Showcase and assisted the director of the off-Broadway play Ferguson with Jerry Dixon.

(Eddie) The Fulton Theatre, Newsies (Morris Delancey) The Muny and most recently, Fun Home (Roy/Pete/Mark/Bobby Jeremy) here at the Fulton. After graduation he moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor, singer, dancer. Nathaniel Hackmann holds a BM and MM in vocal performance from Central Michigan University. Hackmann has appeared with such companies as Hong Kong Philharmonic, Michigan Opera Theater, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, and Virginia Opera. For the BBC Proms he appeared as Curly with John Wilson Orchestra in the acclaimed production of Oklahoma! As a member of the prestigious Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera, Hackmann appeared as Raul in the world premiere of Thomas Pasatieri’s The Hotel Casablanca. He has toured across North America in Beauty and the Beast and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has portrayed Jean Valjean and Javert in Les Miserables on Broadway, as well as the titular roles in Jekyll and Hyde and The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. He has been seen on stage in some of the repertoire’s most demanding roles with many of the world’s greatest orchestras and most prestigious companies. Nathaniel is a singer and actor of international renown.
